GB Ocean Racing
Jim re-established the GB Ocean Racing Team in 2017 with the focus of opening up opportunities for U18 and U23 athletes, in order to develop Ocean Racing as an international sport within the UK. Using the Epic UK van and trailer the squad has been able to compete in Holland, Ireland, France, Portugal and Spain.
From the outset, Epic Kayaks UK has established a successful GB youth development programme, providing skis, equipment, logistic support and mentoring.
Jim is the GB Ocean Racing Team Manager and Chair of the British Canoeing Ocean Racing Working Group.
This year will see the 2022 ECA European Championships held in Cagliari, Italy from 12-18 Sept 22. This is followed by the ICF World Championships in Viana Do Castelo, Portugal from 6-9 Oct 22.
